Central Soccer league  find Gatsi Mukombwe has vowed to fight with his life for the 2020 sole ticket to the Premier league division.

Mukombwe head coach at FC Vumbachikwe said his team is targeting promotion to the Premier soccer League division.

“We are in it for the sole ticket to PSL. We will fight to win” he said.

He added that his side is not scared by the big CVs rival coaches hold.

” Football is not all about names. They are in Division one like any other coach. We shall be swimming in the same tide. Every jack has a chance in the central region(CSL)”said Mukombwe.

Mukombwe said he retained the team he campaigned with in the 2019 season, which according to him gave him a stable footing going into the new season.

” We retained our team. Which is a plus going into the new season. The management side is on point and we are a well oiled machine awaiting the campaign” bragged Mukombwe.

The CSL division promises to red hot this season with majority of the teams led by widely experienced coaches in the make of Moses Chunga of Chapungu, John Nyikadzino of Sheasham, Rahman Gumbo and Lyold Mutasa at Telone FC.

On paper the race favours these names.

Chunga was PSL league winner in 2009 with Gunners FC, coached top teams Dynamos and Caps United.

Gumbo won 2  PSL titles with Highlanders, won a Malawian PSL gong with MTN Wanderers ,coached Zimbabwe national team and won Mascom top 8 with Gaborone United in Botswana.

John Nyikadzino twice won promotion to PSL with Chapungu and Nichrut a feat that gives him an urge.

Central Soccer League is still in limbo on whether Chapungu FC will retain its PSL slot or not since Herentals won a case which had got them demoted paving a way for Chapungu.

In yet another case Whawha had not managed to pay affiliation fees with the PSL a development that meant they could forfeit status to Sheasham who were runners up.
