A Zhombe woman is appealing for assistance to undergo an operation to remove growths in her bladder which have resulted in her bleeding continuously.
47-year-old Sithabile Mukokeri is also facing difficulties in urinating and producing bloodstained urine as a result of the condition and her condition has been deteriorating rapidly.
A total of US$ 1300 is required to carry out a cystoscopy and bioscopy at Avenues Clinic in the capital to remove the said growths.
Sithabile who hails from Zhombe’s Mhazhe area under Chief Ntabeni, has been at her younger sister’s place in Mbizo where they are assisting with her medical bills.
This news crew managed to visit her at the Mbizo residence.
Writhing in pain, Mukokeri struggled to explain her condition.
“It started when I felt pain when releafing myself sometime last year. I then went to the doctor after I discovered I was bleeding non-stop. That is when they told me I had a growth in my bladder,” she explained amid agony.
She said the situation later worsened leading her immediate family members to take her on board.
“My young sister then took me and they have so far helped with medical bills but it is becoming difficult for them. I am bleeding continuously and the pain is now more than before,” she explained.
“I therefore appeal to well-wishers to help me with the required money as I am not employed and we have failed to raise the said funds as a family,” she said.
