The Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on Sunday reported five (5) new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total number of Coronavirus related fatalities to eighteen (18) in the country.
In a statement the MoHCC said:
“Today we regret to report five (5) deaths, 3 at community level and (2) at facility level. These deaths occurred in Harare and Bulawayo provinces and were all detected during routine postmortem as part of our COVID-19 surveillance.
We await the full post mortem reports of the direct cause of deaths,” reads part of the statement.
Zimbabwe recorded fourty (40) new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative total to 982.
