Kwekwe man in stable condition after Crocodile attack

A 22-year-old Kwekwe man is lucky to be alive after he was attacked by a crocodile while trying to cross a stream on Sunday.

Denis Shingirai of Lozani Farm, Mulala Park suffered a fractured leg and multiple wounds on his right foot and abdomen.

Kwekwe General Hospital, Acting Medical Superintendent, Dr Bruce Mhondiwa confirmed the incident say Shingirai’s injuries do not seem to be life-threatening.

Members of the public are urged to exercise extreme caution in areas close to swamps, rivers, gullies and other known crocodile habitats, as the animals are likely to be displaced during heavy rains.

There has been heavy rainfall and flooding across the country over the past several days.
