ZVISHAVANE –Shabanie Mine FC is scouting for new talent to bolster its squad after most of its players left the club during the lockdown, head coach Timothy Maphosa has said.
Currently Shabanie FC has five players which has seen it lagging behind clubs in the ZIFA Central Region Division 1 league preparations. “We only have five players at the time being and there will be an overhaul as we scout and sign new players.
Most players left for greener pastures. We call upon all those without clubs or those who believe they have what it takes to be part of the club to come for trials.
“This is a huge setback for us because other teams are up a gear in their preparations,” said Maphosa. The club has been getting assistance from the community as it is struggling to attract sponsors. Shabanie was relegated from Premier Soccer League (PSL). The Mirror
