A low density house in Msasa Park, Kwekwe along Bahunia Street worth an estimated US$ 80 000 had its roof and part of the house destroyed by a raging fire late Thursday afternoon, midlandsnews has been informed.
The Kwekwe City Council Fire Bridgade was still to attend to the fire incident 2 hours well after the fire had began to destroy the house, this according several eyewitnesses.
Although there are no reports of injuries, it is reported that household property worth thousand of dollars went up in smoke.
The incident came barely a month after a bolt of fire razed down the Kwekwe Hospital Doctors hostel in which the Fire Bridgade was also accused of a late reaction.
Several efforts to get a comment from Kwekwe City Council fire department hit a brick wall.
