Police in Kwekwe is on the hunt for a three man gang who kidnapped a 14 year old girl name withheld whom they allegedly latter dumped in a bushy area in Msasa Park, Kwekwe, midlandsnews can report.

Midlands Province Police Spokesperson Inspector, Emmanuel Mahoko says the incident occurred in Mbizo on July 8 at around 0730 hours.

“The girl was on her way to Mbizo 2 vegetable market when she was blocked by a blue Honda fit with three male occupants.

“One of them disembarked, grabbed the girl and dragged her into the car before they sped off. The suspects stopped their vehicle in a bushy area in Msasa Park, Kwekwe where they dumped the juvenile with both hands tied to the back”, said Mahoko.

It is reported that the girl later walked along Kwekwe -Mvuma road and met a good Samaritan who untied her hands and asked for her parents’ contact number.

He added that the helper called her father who came and took her to the Police where a report was made.

“The suspects did not harm her nor abuse her but she was in a state of shock. She was referred to Kwekwe District Hospital for medical attention.

“We appeal to members of the public who might have knowledge of the three men moving with a blue Honda Fit around Kwekwe to approach any nearest Police station,” said the Police Spokesperson.
